NSS MUSIC PROUDLY PRESENTS JOHN CERMINARO A Life Of Music LIVE HISTORICAL PERFORMANCES A rare collection of four live performances recorded around the world, this unique recording spans horn player John Cerminaro’s career over the past five decades, and showcases his innate musicality and supreme technical command. Featuring: Gliere, Concerto in B-Flat, Op. 91 Strauss, Horn Concerto No. 2 in E-Flat Major, AV 132 Mozart, Horn Concerto in E-Flat Major, K. 417 Amram, Concerto for Horn and Wind Symphony Widely acknowledged as one of the greatest horn players of our time, John Cerminaro is currently Principal Horn with the Seattle Symphony, a post he has held since 1995. In an illustrious career spanning five decades, he has also held principal horn positions with the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Aspen Festival Orchestra. Mr. Cerminaro has guested as a principal with numerous orchestras across the country, including the Dallas Symphony, Milwaukee Symphony, and Houston Symphony, to name a few, and has performed in music festivals throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. As a recording artist, Mr. Cerminaro can be heard on numerous recordings. His discography is varied, and includes four solo recordings for Crystal Records, an acclaimed CD of the four Mozart Horn Concertos with conductor Gerard Schwarz and the Seattle Symphony (also Crystal Records) as well as the John Williams’ score for NBC’s Nightly News. Respected for his teaching methods as well as his performance skills, John Cerminaro has been a member of the faculty at The Juilliard School, the Aspen Music Festival, The California Institute of the Arts and was a Landsdowne Lecturer at Victoria College. He is the author of a treatise for performers entitled, “The Greater Glory.” A recipient of the esteemed Naumberg Award, First Prize in the Concert Artist’s Guild Competition and a Prague International Competition winner, Mr. Cerminaro received his music education at The Juilliard School and the Aspen Music School. JOHN CERMINARO A Life Of Music is the third release by the NSS MUSIC. The label, founded in fall 2005 by renowned violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, aims to be a haven for performing artists. NSS MUSIC is dedicated to presenting innovative recordings of both live and in-studio performances (with a special emphasis on live recordings) by musicians across the musical genres.
